Library Board Meeting
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Abbeville Memorial Library Board will be held next Thursday, July 20th at 1 pm in the Alliegene Edwards Farmer meeting room inside the library. As always the meeting is open to the Public.
Summer Reading Program 2017
Just a reminder that the Summer Reading Logs have to be turned into the library by 5 pm this Friday, July 14th. Good Luck to everyone participating.
Library Holiday Schedule

Fastest Animal in the World
A few weeks ago we had Mr. Bob Tarter from NHECM educate us all about wild animals. During his show, he mentioned the fastest animal in the world the Peregrine Falcon. Here is a link to a video and more information on the bird. Click on the link Peregrine Falcon
Summer Reading Program 2017
Here is Mr. Bob Tarter from NHECM (National Historical Educational Company of the MidSouth) who brought along some really cool animals for the startup of our Summer Reading Program presentations. For more pictures go to our Abbeville Memorial Library Facebook page. The next presentation will be at 10 am Wednesday, June 14th at the Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium. We hope to see you there. Summer Reading Program
Our Summer Reading Program begins this Wednesday 10 am at the Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium on Phillips Street. Don’t forget to register for the reading competition either at the event or come by the library to pick up a form. The first event will have lots of animals in it. We hope to see you there
Great American Eclipse 2017
There are only 89 days left before the Total Eclipse of the Sun. We will have about 90% totality here in Abbeville which will be viewable here at the library. (Weather permitting of course.)For more information click on: Great American Eclipse 2017
